In Comic Book Boom, you’re a publisher making bank in the era when every issue could sell a million copies — or crash the market entirely.
Each round you’ll:
Publish comics with explosive ‘90s themes, like Cyborgs, Ninjas, and Big Guns!
Enhance them with collectible gimmicks, like Hologram Covers and Poly-Bags.
Promote them with wild stunts, like Anniversary Issues and Crossover Events.
But push it too far and this bubble will burst!
How It Plays
Research new cards — pay $1 per card in your hand, or spend a token for a free pick.
Develop your lineup of comic books in secret.
Publish your books and move their themes up the Market Board.
Profit from readership × collectibility (if you didn’t overhype it!)
Cleanup and get ready for the next round as the bubble rises.
