Monkey Paw
  • When you play this, reveal the top card of the Store Deck. If it’s not an Event card, play that card onto a Pile in your Yard if possible. If it’s an Event card, play the Event as normal. Once you cannot play the revealed card onto a Pile in your Yard or you reveal an Event card, stop.

  • Monkey Paw does not allow you bypass other restrictions when playing cards – you must have a place (+) in your Yard available to play non-Pest cards. Pest cards may be played onto any Pile in your Yard.

  • You must play the card onto a Pile in your own Yard if possible. You cannot play the revealed card onto a rival’s Yard.

  • Yes, that means that your Yard is in for a bad time if you reveal a series of Pest cards from the top of the Store Deck. Be careful what you wish for.

  • Do each card’s play action (▶︎, if any) when you play that card into your Yard. Continue resolving Monkey Paw’s action after you’ve completed the play action.

  • If you reveal a non-Event card that you cannot play, return the revealed card to the top of the Store Deck.

  • Trick-or-Treater cards are Events, so revealing a Trick-or-Treater ends your Monkey Paw action.

  • You must play an Event card when you reveal it using Monkey Paw.
