If Cauldron is in your Yard when you trash one or more cards from anywhere (your Yard, a rival’s Yard, the Store, the Store Deck, etc.), add 1 Candy to your Candy Bag for each card trashed.
When a card in your Yard or a Tool that you play instructs you to trash one or more cards, Cauldron triggers for each trashed card. For example, when you use Mandrake Roots action to trash 5 cards from the Store, you are the player doing the trashing, and your Cauldron gives you 5 Candy.
Keep in mind that the Yard’s owner performs the play actions (▶︎) of cards played onto their Yard. For example, when you play Termites onto a rival’s Yard, the rival owning the Yard is the player doing the trashing, and your Cauldron doesn’t trigger.
When you play Spirit Board, your Cauldron will only trigger if you trash your card, and doesn’t trigger if your rival trashes theirs.
